The Scratch Perverts have garnered widespread acclaim. The team won the first DMC Team championships in 1999, claiming it again in the 'Perverted Allies' alias (a fusion of the Perverts and the Allies DJ crews). Additionally Prime Cuts claimed 2 consecutive ITF World Scratching titles, first beating A-Trak in Hawaii in 1999 and then defending the title in Los Angeles the following year. Plus One won the Vestax battle in 2000, not begetting his returning the DMC World crown to the UK after a hiatus of 10 years. Five time grammy winner plays Sub89 as part of his July tour! Robert Cray is a five time Grammy award winning guitarist and singer from Columbus, America. He has graced the cover of rolling stone, living blues, guitarist UK and guitar world magazines amongst others across a career spanning over 35 years.
His music draws influence from a wide range of genres in addition to the blues sound that he's most known for..
Blues is one of the foundations of our music, but it’s not all that we play,” Cray says. “When I first started playing guitar, I wanted to be George Harrison – that is, until I heard Jimi Hendrix. After that, I wanted to be Albert Collins and Buddy Guy and B.B. King. And then there are singers like O.V. Wright and Bobby Blue Bland. It’s all mixed up in there.”
He continues, “Every time somebody asks me about where my music comes from, I give them five or six different directions – a little rock, soul, jazz, blues, a little gospel feel. Then there are some other things that maybe fall in there every once in a while, like a little Caribbean flavor or something. You just never know. I always attribute it to the music we grew up listening to, and the radio back in the ‘60s. It’s pretty wide open. It’s hard to put a tag on it.”

Public image Ltd are an Englist post-punk band formed by vocalist John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten) following his departure from the sex pistols with guitarist Keith Leverne and bassist Jah Wobble.
Lydon emerged after the break up of the Sex Pistols with PIL's first issue (1978). His new band had an experimental sound: Wobbles “Droning, slow tempo, bass heavy noise rock, overlaid by Lydon's distinctive vituperative rant.”
Their 1979 album 'Metal box' was ranked number 469 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Over in the UK NME magazine described PIL as “arguably the first post-rock group.”
In a career spanning from 1978 to 1992 the band released a total of eight studio albums and the band included members of The Clash, The Smiths, The Fall, Killing Joke, Ministry, Siouxsie and the banchees and Magazine.
After re-forming in 2009 to huge critical acclaim, the band have now confirmed that they will release the viny only E.P “One Drop” in April 2012, followed by a brand new 12 track studio album “This is PIL” in May 212. This will be the bands first studio album in 20 years.
With a new album out, various festival appearances scheduled and a new desire in them, Public image Ltd will perform a hugely intimate show at Sub89 in Reading on August 1st 2012.

Hit records, critical acclaim and a huge, devoted fan base are theirs, due in part to their utterly storming live shows and Dreadzone show no sign of slowing down as they announce a host of live dates around the UK this Autumn. The core members Greg Dread, original bassmaster Leo Williams, the unmistakable MC Spee, legendary reggae vocalist Earl 16 alongside Chris Compton on guitar and Bazil on technology make up the current Dreadzone live line up.
Electro-dub pioneers Dreadzone formed in 1993 when ex-Big Audio Dynamite drummer Greg Roberts teamed up with Tim Bran, with the duo soon joined by bassist Leo Williams and keyboardist Dan Donovan, also formerly of Big Audio Dynamite, completing the group’s first line-up. A festival favourite, Dreadzone opened the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 1994 and began to bring their unique blend of electro, dub and reggae to a wider audience, going on to chart seven Top 60 singles (including their Top 20 hit ‘Little Britain’) and are still going strong after 18 years.
Dreadzone released The Good, The Bad And The Dread - a compendium of their excellent musical story so far in 2011 and their groundbreaking 1995 album ‘Second Light’ was re-released in March 2012 by EMI as a two disc special edition featuring previously unreleased live concert material. The band are currently writing their eagerly awaited new studio album. As well as live favourites from their back catalogue the band will be showcasing new tracks at their shows this Autumn.
